Job summary

H&R Block in Falls City, NE is seeking a seasonal Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs and to deliver tax training and support from a dedicated team. You will conduct client interviews and prepare complete tax returns while helping grow the business through client retention and service offerings.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; CPA or Enrolled Agent certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns

• Provide clients with IRS support; Circular 230 associates can provide audit representation

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience

Your Expertise:

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
