Job summary

H&R Block in Westminster, MD is seeking a seasonal Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs and provide you with advanced tax training.

You will conduct tax interviews, prepare accurate tax returns, generate business growth, and assist clients with IRS matters using virtual tools as needed. Franchise office support applies, with ongoing education requirements and state certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification preferred.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.

• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.

• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience

Your Expertise:

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher

Pay Range

$21.00 - $21.00/Hr.
