Melby & Associates PA is expanding its Florida practice and seeks a knowledgeable Tax Professional to prepare client tax filings and provide strategy to maximize savings. The candidate should be detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable meeting with clients alongside senior leadership to grow the firm.

The role requires proficiency with federal/state tax laws, multi-state returns, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting.
• Valid PTIN or ability to obtain one.
• 3+ years of experience as Tax Professional preferred.
• CPA or EA a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial meetings with potential clients to discuss services and costs.
• Educate clients on tax submission processes.
• Analyze income statements and prior tax returns to determine taxable income.
• Provide advice to minimize tax obligations and file taxes accurately.
