We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Tax Preparer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and compliant tax returns for individuals and businesses. Responsibilities

Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for diverse clients, ensuring compliance with current tax laws and regulations.

Conduct thorough reviews of financial documents, including income statements, balance sheets, and general ledger entries to gather necessary data for accurate filings.

Analyze financial statements and reports to identify potential deductions, credits, and tax-saving opportunities.

Reconcile accounts such as accounts payable, receivable, and bank statements using accounting software like QuickBooks, SPBinder.

Support regulatory reporting requirements by preparing detailed reports aligned with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

Communicate with clients regarding missing information or tax-related questions

Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information

Assist with tax planning and year-round client support as needed

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Tax Professional

Knowledge of federal and state tax laws

Skilled in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

Excellent mathematical and analytical skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Experience with individual, corporate, and small business returns

Familiarity with bookkeeping or accounting principles
