Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Tax Assistant in Shamokin, PA. You will help begin tax interviews by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program, and you will assist with closing interviews by assembling returns and obtaining signatures.

You will focus on delivering superior service to clients, using Windows-based software, and adhering to state and local requirements. A high school diploma and clear communication are required; additional coursework in math or finance is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax return interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs.
• Additional state and local requirements may apply.
