Job summary

H&R Block in Michigan seeks a frontline tax professional to assist with the start of client interviews, entering W-2 data into our tax software, and helping prepare tax returns.

You will close interviews by assembling returns, obtaining signatures, reviewing results with clients, and ensuring accuracy and excellent service; experience with Windows-based programs and math skills is helpful.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax return interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs.
• Additional state and local requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Enter client and W-2 information into the tax program at the start of the interview.
• Assemble the tax return, obtain required signatures, and review the finished product with the client.
• Complete bookkeeping procedures and ensure all clients receive superior service.
• All other duties as assigned.
