Job summary

H&R Block in Knoxville, IA is seeking an entry-level Tax Associate to assist with the tax interview process and prepare returns. You will enter client and W-2 information, assemble the tax return, secure signatures, review the completed file with the client, and support bookkeeping procedures as needed.

Strong reading and math skills, effective in-person and phone communication, and experience with Windows-based software are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax return interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs.
• Additional state and local requirements may apply.
