Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an entry-level role in Bloomsburg, PA to support tax interviews by entering client data and preparing returns. You will help deliver excellent service and accurate data handling throughout the process.

The position focuses on assisting at the start and end of interviews, assembling returns, obtaining signatures, and reviewing results with clients. HS diploma required; Windows-based software helpful.

Qualifications

• Reading and math skills to begin and finish tax interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Experience with Windows-based computer programs.
• Additional state/local requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Enter client and W-2 information into the tax program at interview start.
• Assemble the tax return, obtain signatures, and review with the client at interview end.
• Ensure all clients receive superior service.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program
• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining required signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service
• All other duties as assigned

Your Expertise

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax return interview
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone
• Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs
• Additional state and local requirements may apply

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional course work in math, accounting, or finance
