Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a knowledgeable associate to assist at the start and end of tax interviews. You will enter client data, assemble returns, obtain signatures, and review results with clients.

The role requires basic reading and math, strong communication, and comfort with Windows programs. Additional local requirements may apply; responsibilities may evolve seasonally.

Qualifications

• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Experience with Windows-based computer programs.
• Additional state and local requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Enter client and W-2 information into the tax program to start interviews.
• Assemble the tax return, obtain required signatures, and review the product with the client.
• Complete bookkeeping procedures and ensure accurate final delivery.
• Provide superior service to all H&R Block clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program
• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining required signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service
• All other duties as assigned

Your Expertise

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax return interview
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone
• Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs
• Additional state and local requirements may apply

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional course work in math, accounting, or finance
