Job summary

North Hills Community Outreach seeks a Site Coordinator for its Free Tax Prep Program in the Pittsburgh area. You will oversee site operations, coordinate volunteers, and assist clients with federal, state, and local tax returns during tax season.

Requirements include an accounting-related degree or 4+ years of experience, IRS training, and familiarity with TaxSlayer and MS Office. Travel and some remote work options are included.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting or related field preferred; or four years of directly related experience.
• Experience working with volunteers and low-income individuals or families preferred.
• Must submit background checks and mandatory reporting training.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Free Tax Prep sites and ensure compliant, high-quality tax return preparation.
• Recruit, train, and support volunteer tax preparers during tax season.
• Manage appointment schedules and site workflows for efficiency.
• Oversee volunteer conduct, confidentiality, and training documentation.
• Provide guidance to volunteers and clients on tax-related questions.
