Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an assistant for tax interview support in a franchise office. You will input client and W-2 details at the interview start, then help assemble tax returns, obtain signatures, and review the finished product with clients. You’ll also complete bookkeeping steps and ensure top-notch client service.

Excellent communication skills, basic math abilities, and familiarity with Windows programs are important. Position may involve other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Reading and math skills sufficient to complete tax interviews.
• Strong communication skills in person and over the phone.
• Experience with Windows-based programs is preferred.
• State/local requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist at the start of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information.
• Assist with closing the interview by assembling the tax return and obtaining signatures.
• Review the completed return with the client and complete bookkeeping procedures.
• Provide superior service to all H&R Block clients.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.
