Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is hiring for an entry-level tax position in Virginia. You will assist with the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program and help assemble the tax return at the interview’s end.

The role requires basic math and reading skills, strong communication, and familiarity with Windows-based software. Additional state/local requirements may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Reading and math skills are needed to begin and finish the tax interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Enter client and W-2 information into the tax program at the start of the interview.
• Assemble the tax return, obtain required signatures, and review the finished product with the client.
• Complete bookkeeping procedures and ensure all clients receive superior service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
