Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Tax Interview Assistant in Punxsutawney, PA to help start and finish client interviews. You’ll enter client and W-2 information into the tax program and assemble returns, obtaining signatures.

You will ensure clients receive superior service, communicate effectively, and complete bookkeeping procedures. Basic reading and math skills are required, with experience in Windows-based programs helpful. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Reading and math skills are required to begin and finish the tax interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Experience with Windows-based computer programs is preferred.
• Additional state and local requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program.
• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures.
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service.
• All other duties as assigned.
