Job summary

6 Degrees Group in Atlanta seeks a Tax Practice Leader to guide high-level tax work on a portfolio of sophisticated clients. You will sign returns, act as trusted advisor, and manage engagements as part of a hybrid, people-focused firm with a potential path to equity partnership.

You will lead tax engagements for C corporations, S corps, partnerships, individuals, and trusts, while developing planning strategies and overseeing multistate filings.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Master of Taxation is a plus.
• 10+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead tax engagements for private businesses and high net worth individuals across entities.
• Develop tax planning strategies including multistate filings and consolidated returns.
• Review work hands-on and mentor staff, seniors and managers.
• Own engagement economics, including billing and relationships with bankers and attorneys.
