Job description

Amazon is seeking a Tax Planning Manager to focus on direct and indirect tax planning for Brazil and other LATAM countries. This position will work closely with business teams and the tax department to understand transactions and initiatives across the region, providing strategic guidance on tax implications within the AWS space.

The successful candidate will document tax technical advice on local country tax impacts of business activities, support reporting and compliance, and contribute to ongoing tax controversy analysis.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of experience in tax, finance, or related analytical fields
  • Experience in a large public accounting firm or multinational corporate tax department
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Accounting, or Finance with 5 years of experience in Brazilian indirect taxes
  • Proven advising experience on Brazilian indirect and/or direct taxes
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Analytical skills to translate complex tax implications for non-tax audiences
  • Ability to connect tax processes with non-tax teams
  • Excellent relationship-building skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Data analytics skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively across management levels
  • Attention to detail and ownership of projects
  • Experience working on milestone-driven projects
