Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Partnership Manager, Tax to provide tax and consulting services to Pass-Through clients. The role requires handling tax planning, preparation, and research, supervising staff, and managing client engagements with internal managers and partners.

Education includes a Bachelor's in Accounting; a Master's in Taxation is preferred. Five+ years of public accounting experience and CPA certification are required.

Qualifications

• Five (5) plus years of public accounting experience working in the private client area, i.e. working on individual, estate, partnership, S-corporation, trust, and private foundation tax/consulting clients, required.

Responsibilities

• Performs tax planning, preparation and research for Pass-Through business, manages client engagements, supervises and reviews work of team staff members, works closely with clients as well as internal managers and partners.
• Performs write-up of books and records for the business as well as composes written tax advice or responses to IRS inquiries.
• Contributes to client satisfaction by providing timely services and work product.
• Demonstrates an understanding of tax concepts and actively pursues increased tax knowledge through client assignments and current tax developments.
• Tax Compliance: Ensures clients comply with authorities while minimizing tax and that teams comply with Firm policies and TQM.
• Plans and reviews the tax process and staffing, budgeting, time tracking vs. budget, billing and A/R collection.
• Manages client relationships/expectations and provides timely advice.
• Research: frames issues, applies Firm standards, involves firm specialists as needed.
• Strategy Development: develops new ideas to improve client position and efficiency.
