Job summary

RSM US LLP in Los Angeles seeks a Tax Partner to lead client service, growth, and leadership for the Tax line of business. The role centers on delivering high-quality tax solutions, expanding client relationships, and building strong teams across capabilities and markets.

You will manage complex engagements, identify opportunities, mentor staff, and drive profitability while upholding risk, ethics, and client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required.
• Minimum of twelve (12) years of Tax experience in public accounting.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
• Ability to lead client relationships and cross-functional teams.
• Solid project management and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and professional presentation abilities.
• Experience mentoring and developing junior staff and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead client service, growth, and leadership responsibilities for the Tax line of business.
• Direct teams delivering tax services across capabilities, industries, geographies, and specialists.
• Manage multiple engagements, monitor progress, resources, and client expectations.
• Identify tax opportunities early and guide teams through complex issues.
• Develop and maintain ongoing client relationships to match needs with firm expertise.
• Support growth via pipeline development, client transfers, and cross-firm collaboration.
• Oversee profitability, billing, and engagement economics in line with firm standards.
• Apply rigorous quality, risk, ethics, and professional judgment in all activities.
• Leverage digital tools and standardized processes to improve efficiency and client experience.
• Coach and develop high-performing teams and cultivate leadership talent.
