Job summary

RSM US LLP is a leading professional services firm delivering tax consulting and advisory services for the middle market. In the CIM group, you will lead AMP project delivery, manage 481(a) adjustments, and coordinate with multiple teams to support tax provisions and client needs.

The role emphasizes client service, collaboration, and the ability to work onsite and travel to client sites as required. A CPA or EA license, strong Excel skills, and six years in public accounting are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field from an accredited university
• Active CPA license in the state of residence; active EA license; active attorney license; or a preapproved alternative certification that meets RSM requirements
• Minimum of six years of experience in public accounting, with a proven track record of practice building and project management
• Proven track record of successful tax planning, including accelerated depreciation deductions through cost segregation, fixed assets, and repairs and maintenance analyses
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication skills with clients and team members
• Effective project management, handling multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to work onsite and travel to client sites when required

Responsibilities

• Identify, manage AMP projects with guidance from WNT AMP specialists
• Manage delivery of AMP projects, including 481(a) adjustments and tax provisions impact
• Focus on client service and the client experience through proactive communications
• Understand GAAP and IFRS financial accounting pronouncements
• Review memoranda, tax opinions, and IRS inquiry responses
• Mentor and develop professionals through formal and informal mentorship
• Collaborate across teams to deliver advisory engagements, primarily AMP and related services
