Job summary

RSM US LLP is seeking a Tax Consultant in Philadelphia to join their Credits, Incentives and Methods (CIM) group. This role involves providing tax consulting services and managing projects around revenue and expense recognition while collaborating closely with clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field from an accredited university.
• Minimum of six years of experience in public accounting, with a proven track record of practice building and project management.
• Proven track record of successful tax planning, including accelerated depreciation deductions through cost segregation.
• Strong communication skills, including clear, professional interaction with clients and firm personnel.
• Capacity to maintain a consistent onsite presence during core business hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide tax consulting and advisory services around revenue and expense recognition.
• Identify and manage AMP projects including review and delivery strategies.
• Focus on client service and ensure proactive communication with clients.
• Train and develop team members through mentorship.
• Contribute as an industry expert through continuing education.

Skills

Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Effective project management skills

Strong communication skills

Experience in public accounting

Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

Master's in accounting or another business-related field; MBA, MST, JD/LLM
