Job summary

W3Global seeks a Tax Manager to lead and mentor a tax team, overseeing planning, preparation, and review of federal, state, and local returns for individuals and businesses in a small firm environment.

You will guide staff, ensure timely and accurate deliverables, and manage client expectations; requires CPA, 8+ years of US tax experience, deep knowledge of US tax laws, and proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Salesforce.

Qualifications

8+ years of US income tax preparation and planning experience.
In-depth knowledge of US tax laws and regulations.
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in accounting, finance, or related field.
US CPA or equivalent required.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite and tax software; CRM systems.

Responsibilities

Guide and manage team members to ensure timely and precise completion of tasks.
Maintain proactive communication with team and clients to manage expectations and deadlines.
Oversee preparation of complex tax returns for individuals, C-Corps, S-Corps, partnerships, trusts, and estates.
Review associates' work, provide feedback and training to ensure quality and accuracy.
Conduct tax research on complex issues and handle IRS/audits communications.
Mentor staff and train new employees on firm technologies and processes.
Maintain ongoing tax update education for the group.
Identify process improvements to achieve firm goals.
