Magone & Company is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead tax compliance and planning engagements for business owners, high-net-worth individuals, and executives. You will act as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through complex tax issues and opportunities while mentoring staff and expanding advisory services throughout the year.

Qualifications

• CPA license is required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's in Taxation or related field is a plus)
• 7+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance and planning
• Experience reviewing complex individual and business tax returns
• Demonstrated success managing client relationships and serving as a trusted advisor
• Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
• Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in advisory services, business development, and practice growth
• Experience mentoring and developing team members
• Proficiency with tax preparation software, Microsoft Office, and technology tools

Responsibilities

• Review complex individual, partnership, S corporation, C corporation, trust, and other business tax returns
• Develop and implement proactive tax planning strategies for business and individual clients
• Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of clients, providing responsive guidance throughout the year
• Advise clients on entity structure, business transactions, tax-saving opportunities, and emerging legislation
• Identify opportunities to expand client relationships through advisory, accounting, audit, outsourced accounting, and consulting services
• Lead client meetings and communicate complex tax concepts in a practical, understandable manner
• Mentor, coach, and develop tax professionals while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team
• Collaborate with Partners on business development, firm initiatives, and strategic growth
• Drive process improvements through technology, automation, and innovation
