Job summary

Synectics Inc. in West Des Moines, IA is seeking an experienced Tax Manager / Tax Reviewer to lead the review of complex and simple tax returns, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has a CPA license (or in progress) and at least five years of progressive tax experience, including preparation and review for partnerships, corporations and individuals, with strong attention to detail and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA license required or currently in progress.
• At least five years of progressive tax experience including complex returns.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex tax returns for partnerships, corporations, and individuals.
• Review individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns for accuracy and compliance.
• Handle special projects including tax audits and notices.
• Conduct advanced tax research and resolve complex issues.
• Evaluate current tax practices and propose improvements to leadership.
• Communicate with clients to gather information and set project scope.
