Job summary

Rea & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Tax Manager to join our growing Top 100 business advisory and accounting firm in Ohio. You will advise clients on tax planning, evaluate strategies to minimize tax burdens, and serve as the primary contact for complex tax issues while contributing to networking and business development.

You will lead and mentor a tax team, manage engagements, ensure compliance with firm policies, and stay current on tax law changes. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Tax, Accounting or related field.
• CPA or EA certification.
• 5-8 years tax experience.
• Prior supervisory experience.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Strong leadership, mentoring and client relationship skills.
• Experience with federal tax compliance and planning.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on tax implications of objectives and tax planning.
• Manage engagement workflow and billing.
• Lead and mentor tax team.
• Build relationships with clients for federal tax concerns.
• Research tax issues and communicate findings.
• Interact with IRS and state/local tax authorities.
• Develop knowledge of tax areas and stay current.
