Job summary

Ascend is seeking a Tax Manager in New Hampshire to lead the review of flow-through tax returns for a range of clients, with a focus on construction, real estate, manufacturing, and distribution. The ideal candidate is a CPA or EA with entrepreneurial drive and strong technical tax knowledge.

You will collaborate with business owners and their financial professionals, manage client engagements, and help grow the practice in a flexible work environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years with a medium-sized public accounting firm preparing and reviewing flow-through income tax returns.
• Proficient in scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, and research.
• Strong attention to detail and integrity in a professional environment.
• Team leadership experience is a plus.
• Experience with flow-through entities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ongoing tax planning and coordination of client engagements.
• Conduct detailed and technical review of complex federal, state, and multi-state tax returns with emphasis on flow-through entities.
• Communicate with the team on client issues and ensure deadlines are met.
• Research tax law updates and complex issues; provide recommendations to the team.
• Support team development and maintain client relationships with timely responses.
