Career Legal is seeking an experienced Tax Manager for a CPA firm in the United States. The role offers either 100% remote work or a TX-based office, with leadership responsibilities and direct client interaction.

You will oversee tax compliance and advisory services, mentor staff, and collaborate with attorneys, financial advisors, and other tax professionals to deliver strategic guidance and strong client relationships.

Formación

• 5+ years of public accounting experience.
• CPA or EA preferred.
• Strong tax compliance and advisory experience.
• Ability to manage confidential client information.
• Remote work availability.

Responsabilidades

• Review tax returns for individuals, trusts, corporate, partnership, and nonprofit entities.
• Manage and mentor Senior Accountants, Staff Accountants, and offshore staff.
• Oversee revenue and profitability of an assigned client portfolio.
• Conduct advanced tax research and provide strategic tax advice.
• Work directly with clients, attorneys, financial advisors, and internal tax teams.
• Participate in new client consultations and onboarding.
• Assist with IRS and state tax notice responses.
• Lead weekly accountability and project review meetings.

A growing and established CPA firm in Austin, TX is looking to add an experienced Tax Manager to its team.

This is a great opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys client advisory work, technical tax research, team leadership, and having a direct impact on client relationships.

What You’ll Do

• Review individual, trust, corporate, partnership, and nonprofit tax returns
• Manage and mentor Senior Accountants, Staff Accountants, and offshore accounting staff
• Oversee the revenue and profitability of an assigned client portfolio
• Conduct advanced tax research and provide strategic tax advice
• Work directly with clients, attorneys, financial advisors, and internal tax teams
• Participate in new client consultations and onboarding
• Assist with IRS and state tax notice responses
• Lead weekly accountability and project review meetings
