Job summary

Aprio’s Private Client Tax team is seeking a Tax Manager to lead a group of tax professionals. You will develop tax strategies, oversee returns, and provide advisory services to clients, including M&A and restructuring projects.

Ideal candidates bring 6+ years of federal tax consulting/compliance experience, emphasis on leadership, and a CPA is preferred. A hybrid work arrangement is available, with opportunities across a Top 20 CPA firm network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation preferred.
• Recent experience in a public accounting firm.
• 6+ years of federal tax consulting and/or compliance experience in accounting.
• CPA preferred.
• Experience preparing Individual, Partnership, S Corporation, and Trust tax returns.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer proficiency with tax software and technology.
• Experience managing a team.
• Willing to work hybrid.

• Provide consulting on mergers & acquisitions, tax planning, and corporate restructuring.
• Conduct tax research to identify planning opportunities.

• Communicate with clients and regulators to manage tax-related matters.
• Manage client relationships and ensure satisfaction with services.

• Responsible for managing and leading a team of tax professionals, delegating tasks and responsibilities, and overseeing the work of your team members.
• Developing and implementing tax strategies. This will involve staying up-to-date with changing tax laws and regulations and identifying opportunities for tax planning.
• Providing consulting services to clients on various tax-related issues such as mergers and acquisitions, tax planning, and corporate restructuring.
• Conduct tax research to stay up-to-date with changing tax laws and regulations and identify opportunities for tax planning.
• Responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns for clients, ensuring that they comply with relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Responsible for communicating with clients and stakeholders, including tax authorities and other regulatory bodies, to ensure that all tax-related matters are handled effectively and efficiently.
• Manage client relationships and ensure that clients are satisfied with the services provided by your team.
• Training and mentoring team members
