Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC is seeking a Tax Manager for a well established, highly profitable regional CPA firm. The role focuses on overseeing tax return preparation, supervising staff, and serving SEC and closely held clients across diverse industries, with a fast track to Partnership.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in public accounting, a CPA license, and strong tax research and client service skills. Benefits include potential bonuses and a 5% employer contribution to a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Minimum five to seven years in public accounting with progression in tax complexity and research.
• One year supervisory experience of tax preparers.
• CPA license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform efficient, accurate, complete, and timely preparation of all clients’ tax returns.
• Review and approve tax returns and governmental examinations of any complexity.
• Supervise and delegate to tax staff, ensuring assignments stay within budgeted time.
• Advise clients with advanced technical tax skills and participate in planning efforts.
• Represent clients in meetings with partners and in communications with authorities.
