Job summary

Caliber Recruiting Group seeks a senior tax professional in Sarasota to manage tax planning, review, and advisory for a diverse client base. You will mentor junior staff and collaborate with partners to resolve complex tax issues for high‑net‑worth individuals and mid‑size entities.

The role offers a full‑time hybrid/remote arrangement with competitive salary, PTO, health insurance, and retirement benefits. Prior public accounting tax experience and CPA consideration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in accounting or equivalent (Finance, Business, Data analytics).
• 3-5 years of public accounting experience, preferably in a tax role.
• CPA preferred or CPA in progress and ability to sit for CPA soon.
• Experience with tax review on various entity types (C-Corp, S-Corp, trust, HNW).
• ASC 740 experience is helpful and client-facing interaction.

Responsibilities

• Strong analytical and technical tax accounting skills with ability to research and implement strategies.
• Perform tax prep and review for multiple entities including partnerships, C Corps, S Corps, trusts.
• Lead and mentor junior tax employees and coordinate with partners/founders on complex issues.
• Review complex issues and strategies for multiple clients with senior leadership.

We have partnered with a growing top-rated locally owned accounting and client advisory services firm here in the lovely city of Sarasota, Fl.

Our locally based CPA firm helps businesses in the Sarasota County area in various industries including logistics, retail, distribution, manufacturing, healthcare, construction, and more.

The focus is on maximizing tax savings, achieving business financial goals, and help business grow through strategic advisory consulting, valuation services, fractional CFO support, and estate planning and succession.

Responsibilities:

Strong analytical and technical tax accounting skills with the ability to research and implement tax liability and asset protection strategies

Ability to perform tax prep and review work with multiple entities including partnerships, C Corps, S Corps, High Net Worth individuals, as well as trusts and estate entities

Ability to be a good leader and interact well with other tax employees and act as a mentor and coach for more junior tax employees

Work with the partners and founders for reviewing any complex issues and or strategies for multiple clients

Qualifications:

Bachelors in accounting or equivalent (Finance, Business, Data analytics)

3-5 years of public accounting experience, preferable in a tax role and senior tax role

CPA preferred and or CPA in progress and ability to sit for CPA relatively soon

Experienced in a variety of Tax / accounting software programs including CCH, Pro System, and or other tax planning software (Thompson Reuters)

Experience with tax review on C-Corp, S-Corp, individual, HNW, and complex entity arrangements

ASC 740 experience is also helpful

Detail oriented and great personal skills working with high profile clients, founders, CEOs, and VPs or multi million dollar organizations

Pay and Benefits:

• $125,000-$165,000 salary per year
