Job summary

Distinct North America in Rockwall, TX seeks a Tax Manager on a partner track with equity. You will work side by side with the owner, assume growing client responsibility, and contribute to long-term succession planning in a trust-based hybrid environment.

Mandatory CPA or EA preferred; candidates will own complex tax returns and client strategy while mentoring junior staff and shaping firm priorities.

Qualifications

• CPA or EA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing complex returns across individuals, partnerships, S corps, C corps and trusts.
• Owning client relationships year round.
• Spotting planning opportunities and advising beyond compliance.
• Working with the owner on complex matters and wider client strategy.
• Mentoring and developing junior staff.
• Taking on more of the client service, team and operations side as the succession plan moves forward.
