CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) is seeking a Tax Director/Manager to join our Wisconsin practice, serving clients across industries with complex tax planning and compliance.

You will lead engagements, review returns, mentor staff, and collaborate with partners to deliver value. A CPA and 6+ years in a large firm are preferred; JD/EA acceptable. This role offers growth and a collaborative, inclusive culture with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in a large professional services or public accounting firm.
• CPA certification required; JD/EA may be accepted in place of CPA.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tax engagements and client relationships.

About the role:

CLA is looking to hire Tax Manager or Director for our growing Wisconsin Tax practice. Locations include: Appleton, Green Bay, La Crosse, Madison, Milwaukee, Oshkosh, Racine, Sheboygan, Stevens Point, and Wausau.

As a Tax Director/Manager You Will

• Consult with clients on business processes such as succession and tax planning.
• Lead, schedule, supervise, and review tax engagements.
• Develop and train team members to help them build inspired careers.
• Foster and build opportunities for our clients, communities, and people.
• Become an industry professional and attend industry-leading events and trainings.
• Perform a range of tax procedures in accordance with the size and complexity of the engagement.
• Review complex individual and corporate tax returns.

As Our Ideal Candidate

• 6 years of experience in a large professional services or public accounting firm, driving strategic management.
• 10+ years experience highly preferred.
• You have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• You have an active CPA certification. A JD or EA may be accepted in place of a CPA certification.
