Job summary

Clark Schaefer Hackett is seeking a Tax Manager who will lead complex engagements, mentor developing professionals, and advise clients with proactive tax strategies. This role emphasizes relationship-building and advisory work beyond returns.

You'll oversee planning through delivery, review returns, and manage budgets and timelines in a dynamic, hybrid-work environment. CPA/EA/CA designation preferred with public accounting tax experience.

Qualifications

• CPA, EA, CA, or similar designation.
• Public accounting tax experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Strong technical tax, research, and planning expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex tax engagements from planning through delivery.
• Review tax returns, tax research, and consulting projects.
• Help clients develop proactive tax strategies and minimize tax exposure.
• Serve as a primary advisor and relationship manager for clients.
• Coach, mentor, and develop tax professionals.
• Manage multiple engagements, budgets, and timelines.
• Identify opportunities to bring additional value to clients and strengthen relationships.
