• Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and reports for accuracy and conformance.
• Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax requirements.
• Develop, modify, and document record-keeping and accounting systems.
• Demonstrate technical proficiency and understand business issues in complex transactions.
• Conduct research on complex accounting and tax issues and supervise staff.
• Identify trends indicating problems or opportunities.
• Evaluate costs, benefits, and risks of client solutions.
• Manage engagement planning, budgeting, risk assessment, and strategy.
• Participate in tax planning.
• Oversee staff productivity, realization, and engagement efficiencies.
• Stay current on business, accounting, and tax developments and advise clients.
• Prepare complex client correspondence, proposals, and technical issues.
• Build expertise in specialized industries while acting as a generalist.
• Understand client operations and significant tax issues.
• Identify value-added billing opportunities and participate in billing/collections.
• Develop client relationships and participate in business development.
• Recruitment and mentorship of accounting staff.
