Job summary

ADVATIX - Advanced Supply Chain and Logistics seeks an experienced Tax Manager in Ramsey, New Jersey, to lead tax engagements for closely held businesses, partnerships, corporations, and individuals. The role emphasizes client relationships, mentoring staff, and delivering compliant, high-quality tax work.

The ideal candidate has a CPA license (or pursuing licensure) and at least 6 years of progressive public accounting tax experience, with strong knowledge of federal and state tax rules.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license preferred (or actively pursuing licensure).
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive public accounting experience with a strong focus on taxation.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax compliance.
• Experience reviewing tax returns and supervising staff.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements while maintaining attention to detail.
• Experience with public accounting tax and accounting software.
• Positive, collaborative attitude with a commitment to professional growth and client service.

Responsibilities

• Manage and review business, partnership, corporate, and individual tax engagements, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion
• Prepare and review tax returns, tax projections, and supporting workpapers
• Provide tax planning and advisory services for closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service and technical expertise
• Supervise, mentor, and develop senior accountants and staff accountants
• Coordinate engagement workflow, budgets, staffing, and project deadlines
• Research and resolve federal, state, and multi-state tax issues
• Collaborate with firm leadership to improve processes, increase efficiency, and enhance client service
• Support the implementation and effective use of tax technology and best practices
