KatzAbosch in Timonium, MD, is seeking a Tax Manager to lead complex engagements and ensure compliance across federal and multi-state returns. Hybrid work, strong client interaction, and tax advisory across multiple industries are core to the role.

The ideal candidate will hold an active CPA/EA, possess 7+ years in public accounting tax, and mentor staff while driving process improvements within the Tax Department.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) active.
• 7+ years of public accounting experience in tax.
• Advanced proficiency with tax software and planning tools.
• Experience with multi-state tax compliance and nexus.
• Experience serving diverse industries including real estate, manufacturing, PE.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee all aspects of client engagements, including service delivery, scheduling, progress monitoring, and timely delivery of tax solutions.
• Lead meetings with clients, resolving concerns and understanding goals and tax needs.
• Oversee and review complex federal and multi-state tax returns (Forms 1120, 1120S, 1065, 1040).
• Advise clients across industries including private equity, construction, real estate, manufacturing, and professional services.
• Provide technical guidance for complex partnership structures and private equity tax matters.
• Handle billing, project timelines, and internal committee participation.
• Engage in regular client check-ins and networking to maintain relationships.
• Train and mentor staff, ensuring deliverables meet firm standards.
• Foster collaboration and support team growth and policy adherence.
• Identify new client opportunities and represent the firm at events.
