Premier Financial Search is assisting a Top 50 CPA firm in the Greater Chicago area. The Tax Manager will oversee engagements for middle-market businesses and may pursue either a generalist path or a High Net Worth / Family Office specialty.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license or proven CPA track.
• 6 to 12 years of progressive tax experience at a national or mid-size CPA firm.
• Full review responsibility on partnership, S corp, C corp and individual returns.
• Track record of managing engagements and developing staff.
• Generalist background, or a High Net Worth / Family Office specialty.
• Reliable transportation for occasional travel to client sites and firm events at other offices.

Responsibilities

• Run tax engagements end to end: information gathering, due dates, client communication, billing.
• Review 100% of returns (1065, 1120S, 1120 and 1040) for clients with $25M to $250M in revenue.
• Deliver tax planning for business owners and their companies.
• Supervise, train, and mentor staff and seniors on the job.
• Serve clients in manufacturing and distribution, construction, technology, real estate and professional services.
• Act as the day-to-day tax contact for your client relationships.
