Job summary

Distinct | North America, a South Jersey CPA firm, is seeking a Tax Manager to work with Partners across tax compliance, planning, and advisory. The role offers ownership of client relationships and a path toward equity, with a diverse client base including real estate, manufacturing, healthcare, and services.

You will review complex returns (1040, 1065, 1120-S, 1120), advise on planning, and mentor junior staff in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Public accounting tax experience at Manager level, or as an experienced Supervisor ready to step up.
• Broad experience with individuals and closely held businesses.
• Confidence reviewing work and managing clients directly.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• An interest in building a long-term career with one firm.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of client relationships and become a trusted adviser.
• Review complex 1040, 1065, 1120-S and 1120 returns.
• Work on trust and estate-related tax matters.
• Advise clients on tax planning alongside the Partners.
• Develop junior staff and help maintain high review standards.
• Build toward a potential future equity opportunity.
