Job summary

Expedia Group seeks a Tax Manager - International in Seattle to lead U.S. GAAP tax provisions for the company's international operations and collaborate with Global Tax and Finance teams.

You will analyze foreign credits, Subpart F, and other international tax concepts while supporting audits, M&A activity, and tax technology implementations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, or related field with 5+ years in Big Four or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. international tax, ASC 740, and federal income tax concepts.
  • Experience with tax provision and compliance software.
  • Strong tax research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication; able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Support quarterly and year-end U.S. GAAP tax provisions for international operations.
  • Calculate and analyze foreign tax credits, FDDEI deductions, Subpart F and NCTI inclusions, and 987 gains/losses.
  • Review book-to-tax differences related to international operations.
  • Review U.S. international tax forms (1118, 5471, 8858, 8865, 8990, 8992).
  • Support international components of U.S. federal income tax audits and inquiries.
  • Maintain audit-ready workpapers, documentation, and financial records.
  • Provide tax support for international transactions (M&A, reorganizations, etc.).
  • Monitor tax legislation and translate changes for leadership.
  • Drive AI-enabled process improvements and adoption of tax technology tools.
  • Maintain process documentation and strengthen controls.
  • Build effective partnerships across Tax, Finance, and cross-functional teams.

Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $177,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role. Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience.
