The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree (master's in taxation preferred) with 7+ years in public accounting, demonstrated analytical skills, and a commitment to confidentiality and accuracy in all tax work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; master's in taxation preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years in public accounting or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail with complex tax issues.
• Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervision and development of tax department personnel.
• Manage tax compliance for individuals, gifts, trusts, and investment entities, incl. workpaper design and automation.
• Review tax filings for accuracy and risk mitigation.
• Manage IRS and state examinations and notices.
• Collaborate on strategic tax planning opportunities.
• Coordinate with trusts & estates and outside counsel on planning documents when assigned.
• Proactively research and implement efficiencies and best practices.
