Paro is partnering with a Top 400 CPA Firm in New Jersey to hire an experienced Tax Manager. The role features direct work with Partners on complex matters, strong leadership, and mentorship of staff, with ongoing professional development opportunities.

The position supports a hybrid schedule after onboarding, with CPA/EA credentials required and potential for long-term career growth within a collaborative public accounting firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5–8 years of public accounting tax experience.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) required.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong experience with corporate, partnership, and pass-through taxation.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of tax engagements from planning through completion.
• Serve as the primary client contact, providing proactive tax planning and consulting.
• Review complex returns and ensure compliance with federal, state and local regs.
• Conduct tax research, prepare memorandums, and advise on complex matters.
• Manage engagement budgets, staffing, billing, and timelines for client service.
• Supervise and mentor Senior/Staff Accountants with coaching and feedback.
