Job summary

Vector Recruiting LLC is assisting a well-established regional CPA firm in recruiting a Tax Manager. The role focuses on accurate, complete tax return preparation, advanced tax advisory, and responsible supervision of preparers across diverse client sectors.

A flexible, hybrid work arrangement is available, including days from a Hawaii home base. The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in public accounting tax, CPA license, and a track record of supervising staff.

Qualifications

• Public accounting experience with tax emphasis
• Experience supervising and directing tax staff
• CPA license required

Responsibilities

• Perform technical review and approval of tax returns and examinations.
• Manage larger returns and delegate to preparers as needed.
• Provide advanced technical tax advice to clients.
• Ensure timely, accurate client service within budgeted time.
• Delegate and manage tax research projects.
• Represent clients in governmental examinations when needed.
• Review staff qualifications and assignments for appropriateness.
• Supervise and train tax staff.
