H. T. PROF Group in Honolulu seeks a Tax Manager to lead the tax function for SEC and closely held clients across diverse industries. The role ensures accurate, timely preparation of tax returns and strategic guidance on complex matters.

The manager will supervise staff, oversee tax research, and coordinate government examinations when needed. A CPA license and 5–7 years in public accounting are required; a Master’s in taxation is preferred. Hybrid work is possible from Hawaii.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, Master’s degree in taxation preferred.
• Active CPA license required.
• Minimum 5–7 years in public accounting with tax focus and progression.

Responsabilités

• Performs tax reviews and approves complex returns and examinations.
• Manages larger tax returns and delegates to staff as needed.
• Advises clients with advanced technical tax skills and ensures timely delivery.
• Oversees tax research projects and government examinations where applicable.
• Supervises staff and provides training; participates in reviews of the Tax Department.
