Job summary

Kerkering Barberio & Co is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee multiple client engagements, directing staff and coordinating engagement workflows.

You will mentor staff, plan engagements, ensure quality and deadlines, maintain client relationships, and contribute to business development for the Firm. Occasional travel to meet clients is expected.

Required: CPA license, Bachelor's in accounting, and 7 years of progressive public accounting experience.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing and reviewing individual, corporate, partnership, and S-Corp tax returns.
• 7 years progressive experience in public accounting.
• CPA certification is required.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs a broad range of accounting, tax assignments and assumes responsibility for all phases of an engagement.
• Plans, schedules and staffs engagements using Firm policies and procedures.
• Mentors staff and provides input on staff performance appraisals.
• Maintains contact with clients throughout the year and understands client business needs.
• Ensures financial statements and tax returns are prepared to professional standards.
• Participates in practice development and seeks new business for the Firm.
