What You Can Expect

As the Federal Tax Manager, you will play a key role in managing federal tax compliance, forecasting, financial reporting, and audit readiness for ENGIE's U.S. consolidated group. You will lead complex corporate income tax return processes, support federal tax provisions and forecasts, and help ensure accurate reporting across local and group requirements. This role offers the opportunity to guide a team of tax professionals, partner across the business, and drive process improvements that strengthen tax operations in a growing energy organization.

In this role you will:
  • Oversee federal income tax compliance, provisions, forecasts, payments, and reporting for ENGIE's U.S. consolidated group
  • Manage federal tax audits, account reconciliations, internal controls, and documentation standards
  • Lead and develop direct reports while collaborating with internal teams, global tax partners, and shared service resources to improve processes and support business needs
What You'll Bring

You bring strong federal tax, income tax accounting, and corporate reporting experience, along with the discipline to deliver accurate work in a deadline-driven environment. You are an active learner, clear communicator, and organized professional who can manage multiple priorities while supporting a high-quality tax function.

  • This role requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and an active CPA certification
  • Seven (7) or more years of relevant public accounting or industry tax experience, including corporate federal income tax compliance, financial reporting, and income tax accounting
  • You will have gained strong accounting, research, analytical, and documentation skills with the ability to assess tax risk and make sound recommendations
  • You will have established proficiency with Excel, Word, SAP, tax research tools, fixed asset tax software, and tax provision and return software; We use OneSource Income Tax and Tax Provision software, Alteryx and FAS
  • You have the ability to communicate effectively, meet attendance expectations, manage multiple assignments accurately, and use standard office technology
Additional Details
  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; currently three (3) days in the office and two (2) days remotely per week
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
Compensation

Salary Range: $123,165.00 - $188,853.00 USD annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
