Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC seeks a Tax Manager to join our established regional CPA practice where you’ll lead tax compliance for a diverse client base and mentor a team of preparers. The role offers strong work-life balance, competitive benefits, and a clear path toward partnership.

You’ll supervise return preparation, review complex tax matters, and work directly with partners on planning and strategy across SEC and closely held clients. A CPA license and accounting degree are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; CPA license required.
• Master’s degree in taxation preferred.
• Five to seven years of public accounting experience with tax complexity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax returns for diverse clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Mentor and supervise staff accountants and seniors.
• Lead client meetings and tax planning with partners, across SEC and closely held clients.
• Review tax examinations and research complex tax issues as needed.
• Coordinate billing, budgets, and client service expectations for the Tax Department.
• Assist with firm practice development and referral network activities.
