Job summary

Atlas Search, a leading entertainment company, is seeking a Tax Manager to join its fast-paced finance team in Los Angeles, CA. You will manage federal, state, and local tax compliance, along with planning, reporting, and tax operations, reporting to the Tax Director.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of corporate tax experience, a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, and strong communication and analytical skills to thrive in a dynamic environment with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of corporate tax compliance experience from a public accounting firm or out of industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Review corporate federal, state and local income tax returns
• Review quarterly estimated tax payments and tax return extensions, including monitoring payment deadlines
• Review interim and year-end tax provision including current taxable income calculation and deferred tax rollforward
• Various tax projects related to tax audit and planning
• Identify opportunities to minimize the effective tax rate

As a Tax Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the company's rapid growth. You'll be responsible for managing various aspects of the global tax function, including compliance, reporting, planning, and general tax operations. The ideal candidate has strong technical and analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

This position will report to a Tax Director who has been in the industry for many years so there is a lot of visibility and exposure.
