Job summary

Alliance Resource Group seeks a Tax Senior to leverage tax experience while gaining exposure to general accounting and holistic financial planning for high-net-worth individuals in the entertainment industry.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • CPA license or active CPA-track status preferred.
  • Prior accounting and tax-preparation experience required. Knowledge of individual, entity, partnership, and multistate tax compliance; international tax experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Review client accounts and follow up on discrepancies or outstanding items.
  • Prepare individual and corporate tax returns, workpapers, and quarterly estimated tax payments.
  • Prepare budgets, cash-flow projections, cash-needs reports, and financial analyses.
  • Review client disbursements in AgilLink for accuracy, documentation, and client approval requirements.
  • Monitor income, expenses, cash balances, and upcoming obligations.
  • Assist with general ledger activity, reconciliations, financial statements, and client reports.
  • Review contracts and deal documents for payment, tax, and cash-flow considerations.
  • Support year-end planning, entity closes, payroll, distributions, and tax withholding.
  • Communicate with clients and coordinate with outside advisors, including attorneys, tax advisors, investment managers, insurance professionals, and agents.
  • Assist with real estate, financing, escrow, and other significant client transactions.
  • Perform other accounting, tax, and business-management duties as assigned.

Education

We’ve partnered with a boutique business management firm looking to add a Senior Associate/Junior Manager to its growing team. The firm prioritizes its clients and employees equally and offers a unique opportunity to broaden your skill set beyond traditional tax.

The role is approximately 50% tax compliance and 50% day-to-day accounting and financial management for high-net-worth individuals in the entertainment industry.
