Job summary

CLA Florida’s Business Tax team is seeking a Tax Director or Manager to work in-office from our Florida offices (Fort Myers, Naples, Tampa, Lakeland or Orlando). You will lead tax engagements, supervise staff, mentor teammates, and build opportunities for our clients and communities.

We’re looking for someone with 6+ years’ tax experience in public accounting or professional services, a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, and an active JD, CPA or EA.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of tax experience in public accounting or professional services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Active JD, CPA, or EA certification.
• Willingness to work in-office in Florida offices.
• Strong client service and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Consult with franchise ownership clients on business processes such as succession and tax planning.
• Lead, schedule, supervise, and review tax engagements.
• Develop and train team members to help them build inspired careers.
• Foster and build opportunities for our clients, communities, and people.
• Become an industry professional and attend industry-leading events and trainings.
• Perform a range of tax procedures in accordance with the size and complexity of the engagement.
• Review complex partnership, S-corp, pass-thru, and HNW personal tax returns.

CLA is looking to hire a Tax Director or Manager to join CLA Florida's Business Tax team. You'll have the opportunity in this role to work with our clients as you progress in your inspired career. This is an in office position based out of any of our Florida offices: Fort Myers, Naples, Tampa, Lakeland, or Orlando.

• You have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• You have an active JD, CPA, or EA certification.
