Job summary

CLA Florida is seeking a Tax Director or Manager to join the Business Tax team. This in-office role at multiple Florida offices includes leading tax engagements, mentoring staff, and building client relationships.

You’ll work with clients on sophisticated tax planning, ownership transitions, and compliance for partnerships, S-corps, and high-net-worth individuals. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of public accounting tax experience, a Bachelor’s in a related field, and an active JD/CPA/EA

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in a tax role with public accounting or professional services firm.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Active JD, CPA, or EA certification.

Responsibilities

• Consult with franchise ownership clients on business processes such as succession and tax planning.
• Lead, schedule, supervise, and review tax engagements.
• Develop and train team members to help them build inspired careers.
• Foster and build opportunities for our clients, communities, and people.
• Become an industry professional and attend industry-leading events and trainings.
• Perform a range of tax procedures in accordance with engagement size and complexity.
• Review complex partnership, S-corp, pass-thru, and HNW personal tax returns.

CLA is looking to hire a Tax Director or Manager to join CLA Florida’s Business Tax team. You’ll have the opportunity in this role to work with our clients as you progress in your inspired career. This is an in office position based out of any of our Florida offices: Fort Myers, Naples, Tampa, Lakeland, or Orlando.

• You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• You have an active JD, CPA, or EA certification.
