Job Summary

The Tax Manager is responsible for managing multiple client tax returns and delivering high-quality tax services. This role involves working directly with individuals and business owners on tax-related issues, ensuring timely and accurate service delivery. Familiarity with electronic systems for tax preparation, project management, and document storage is essential.

Job Responsibilities

• Interview clients and prepare/review complex tax returns for individuals, businesses, non-profits, trusts, and estates.
• Manage multiple client tax engagements.
• Build and maintain client relationships.
• Review and evaluate staff work.
• Conduct in-depth tax planning for clients.
• Perform tax research.
• Coordinate with the Client Services department to meet accounting needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and CPA certification required.
• Minimum 5 years of public accounting experience.
• Experience preparing and managing multiple tax returns.
• Strong computer skills and experience with tax software such as CCH ProSystem fx or CCH Axcess preferred.
• Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
