Job summary

Eden Capital Careers is seeking a hands-on Tax Manager to own the income tax function and lead the tax provision process for financial reporting. You will coach a team of tax accountants and oversee return preparation with external preparers and internal staff.

You will drive process design, controls, and risk management while coordinating with auditors and management on tax-informed decisions. Strong Excel and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of tax experience in public accounting or a corporate environment.
• Strong federal, state, and local tax knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Sharp organizational and analytical skills, with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Own the quarterly and annual ASC 740 tax provision.
• Oversee federal and state income tax return calculations and filings.
• Review FIN 48 and UNICAP positions.
• Respond to notices and inquiries from taxing authorities.
• Work directly with internal and external auditors.
• Research and deliver tax information requested by management and outside parties.
• Support related areas as needed, including sales tax, property tax, payroll tax, and incentives.
• Map, document, and re-engineer tax processes to improve efficiency, controls, and metrics.

You'll lead the tax provision process for financial reporting, oversee return preparation with external preparers and internal staff, and coach a team of tax accountants. You'll also be accountable for continuously improving how the work gets done, including process design, quality, controls, risk, and service levels.
